“Wonderful, I learned a lot, had fun and the food was just wow!”
I have been to Morocco a few times, and on this trip I mentioned to some friends living there that I wanted to learn to cook some Moroccan food, they all immediately recommended this place and I can now see what all the fuss is about. The staffs are lovely, it was all easy to follow and I learned a lot. We cooked a chicken tajine with caramelised onions and sultanas which was just divine as well as a Moroccan salad. Thanks to the recipes they emailed me after the class I made both dishes at a dinner party last night and they both turned out just as good! They also taught us how to make proper Moroccan mint tea which was a bonus. The place itself is gorgeous, very clean and with beautiful decor. The owner was also very accommodating and flexible to our needs, I will certainly be back. I would recommend this to anyone that takes cooking seriously or anyone that simply loves eating!

“Your friendly guide to Moroccan cooking, shopping and eating”
We went to the cook school with friends who had been before. It was well organized and spotless. Mouna and Nour-eddine were so friendly and helpful. We made soup and fish tajine. We learned all about Moroccan cooking techniques, from making mint tea (essential) to chopping to cooking the tajine. Then Nour-eddine took us on a tour of the food market to show us where to buy spices and fish and what to look for. We went back to eat our food in a lovely dining room. The whole morning was great fun. There were eight of us altogether, but both our tutors were always ready to help and the instructions and organization were so clear, it was difficult to go wrong.
Highly recommended. So much so that one of our number went back another day for pastry making. We all would have done but there was sea to be swum in, souks to be shopped in and sun to be lazed in not to mention hammams and massages to be had. Essaouira is definitely a return destination.

Annet Peters – Holland – August 2010

The best thing to do was to follow this cooking class in Essaouira. The team was very friendly and the cooking was fun. Finely chopped, that's one of the secrets we've learned that day.
I bought my own tajine and tomorrow is the big day. My parents and friends are coming over to taste the food I make. Thanks again and I’m sure lots of other people will do the same as we did. Don't hesitate; this is so nice to do...

Lea Ann and Frank – USA – December 2009

Honestly, my husband and I did not know what to expect as we booked our cooking class.  We were completely amazed and impressed at our modern-surroundings as we walked into the building, and even more amazed at our hosts, Nour-eddine & Mona for their kindness, knowledge and patience as our entire group quickly bonded and share many laughs as we learned to cook our lamb tajine dish; the spice tour was an added treat!  We have since taken the recipes we cooked and have shared our newly-found culinary-talents with our dinner-wine-group...spreading the positive news of Moroccan culture, cuisine and people
Many thanks from Lea Ann and Frank!

"Outstanding nd friendly cooking class"
A friend and I booked at this excellent cooking class in Essaouira. The modern kitchen, excellent demonstration and totally friendly environment made this is a pleasurable experience. Mouna is an excellent and helpful teacher and cook, and Nour-edine became a friend with his outstanding service and courtesy. A true experience of Moroccan hospitality. It has given me the confidence to try the tagines at home, and definitely Moroccan cooking will become a staple. The only downside is that the tourist bureau gave us a flat "no" when we asked if there were cooking classes there. We found it on our own, but more helpfulness on their part would have been good. I thoroughly recommend this class to everyone.

"Great and fun cooking class"
Our family spent a wonderful holiday in Morocco. A highlight was definitely the great and fun cooking class at l'Atelier Madada. The atmosphere was very friendly, we got to cook great dishes and received recipes at the end. I already cooked the delicious "Chicken Tajine" many times by now, and all our guests like it a lot! Congratulations to the cooking team at l'Atelier Madada

“Amazing”
Without a doubt a highlight of our holiday. We had seen the good reviews and the photos but that doesn't prepare you for the attention to detail and the warm welcome. Everything was so well organised the day was just perfect. It is difficult to put into words but if you like Moroccan food then book this experience!.

Sarah & Peter Hay - Australie - May 2009

Many thanks to Nour-eddine & Mona for teaching us how to create such a delicious Moroccan meal: Harira & beef tajine along with mint tea.
It was so much fun learning with you, and thanks for capturing the whole day as photos and videos for us, very much appreciated.
We will be sure to return and we'll spread the word to our family and friends.
Great English too! Lovely surrounds, relaxing lunch, cool music.
Thanks again. A bientot.
